This summer marks my fourteenth year behind the turntables.
I would just like to take a moment and thank all of you for taking the time to enjoy my music. I also want to thank my man Bota for really getting me to pursue my dream of making people move, gyrate, smile, and have a good time. Over the years I've had the chance to play with some of my hero's as well as some of the best local talent in California and play all over the place, and I am so thankful for that. To the thousands of dancers, and the many who have given the nod after a sweaty night...I thank you. Coming from a musical family, I've always been taught that you don't just listen to music -- you feel the music, you are the music, and you transmit that feeling to the dancefloor -- Whether there's 5 or 500 on the dancefloor.
Rules I've always lived by as a dj....
Remember--it's never about the dj, it's about the music.
Make the vibe and take the dancers on a journey with you.
Never trust a dj who doesn't dance.
If you have an opinion or bias on what the dj is playing whether it be cd, tape, vinyl, or serato, then you're not hearing the music.
Bring it every time you play.
Dance like nobody's watching.
